Trouble in the North

The White Knight

The pair of servants sent by my father would probably feel his wrath when they bring back word that I was not returning with them. They had given me the directions to reach Coldheart so that I may return to my father’s side and join with him to help enslave the lands to the south. But that was one offer I couldn’t accept, knowing that to do so would go against everything I believed in. And like a coward, I fled deep into the frozen lands toward the north.
Battling my private war against the orcs, ogres, and other evil creatures, I had found an old abandoned shrine dedicated to Heironeous. It was in a state of total disrepair and neglect. I put together what I could to provide shelter from the chilling elements, setting lean-tos from the fallen walls sections and uprighting the toppled altar.
It was on the third night, wracked with despair and loneliness, that I heard the voice. It spoke to me of my past, of my being shunned by the townsmen of the mining city, Latona, and the decision I made to leave when I was 10, keeping to the wilderness and learning the ways of the Ranger. The voice knew so much of what I had endured, that it had to have belonged to the god himself. The voice then pronounced that only the death of my father could free me and save the lands that would be subjected to his dominance should he be able to continue with his plans.
So I now head to the hamlet of Finch to gather supplies that I will need, and go with assurance that I will meet others who will help me to defeat this uprising evil.
