Tilesets with only several tiles, one terrain and 10 or even less groups and features...
I wanted to ask your opinion: are them useful, worth modelling, or making them is nothing but a waste of time? Can you name any minitileset which you would use?

We have a mini-interior set to go with the bioware mini exterior. But beyond that, I can't really think of a good use for one.
The more haks you add to a mod, the more likely you are to run into problems. Most builders don't really have a need for a mini set, unless they are working on interior settings and just want a quick little room type thing. Otherwise, it's just extra work for no gain.
Same is true with those mega-haks... too much work in their case though. One huge tileset is all well and good, but it becomes a nightmare to even find a tile that you might want to use.
Anything above about 500 tiles and you run into lag issues. Anything below about 150 and you don't have enough choice to make it very usuable. There ARE reasons for smaller haks though, as they make area transitions MUCH faster as long as that 'mini set' is in it's own hak. if it's combined with other tilesets into one big hak, then you lose the speed anyway as the engine still has to read that whole hak before it loads the area.

Well, to me I kind of view it as the Beholder set from HotU. That set has very few tiles, and there's not really a lot you can do with it, besides as a beholder lair or maybe some sort of volcanic cavern. The limited number of options in the set sort of limit what you can do with it creatively.
And the Microset, that's just a stripped down rural tileset with almost nothing. I only use it as a place to test stuff in my module to make sure it works and for placing module wide treasure containers and the like. I have no other use for it.
