Sweetpea's Cornerstone

Amalda's messenger Allisty sent out the word. At last it was time to lay the cornerstone of Sweetpea's house, the first new house in the Pocket Canyon since all its folk were massacred or fled log ago.

Symraster, Gorag, Melocia, and Bofor all came to help Sweetpea dig her foundations and lay the cornerstone.

The adventurers collected the things that were needed to make the cornerstone strong and well rooted in the canyon.

The barrow ghosts gave them a rock from the barrow.
The satyrs gave them a silver flute of mountain air.
In the temple at the depths of Dark Moon Lake, Sussera gave them a lake shell.
Allisty took the adventurers to the planar canyon where Amalda gave them a flask of feyfire.


While the fey smith Anwyn forged all the ingredients together to make the cornerstone, the adventurers went up to dig the hole for the house. Melocia turned herself into an Umber Hulk and happily ate a big enough hole, while the others scavenged stones from the ruins of the original house that stood where Sweetpea's new home would be. Hanily the pixie gave them seeds to start another vegetable garden.


At last the stone was ready. The adventurers put it in place.

Sweetpea's goldfish friends were gently tipped into their new home in the canyon creek.


There was a lot more building for Sweetpea, Ellidy, and the fey of the canyon to do. But it went surprisingly fast, and Sweetpea's new house was ready.

In her planar level of the canyon, Amalda rejoiced. The first halfling had a home in the canyon. The little goddess resolved to look after her new friends as well as she could. Perhaps someday the ghosts in the barrow would truly forgive her and find their place in her bit of the planes. Perhaps someday she would forgive herself.
