I'm considering creating a new forum called Common Sense.

I've actually been considering doing this for several years. A place people can talk about philosophy, politics and Ideas.

I have not as of yet.

I worry about things getting personal on a forum such as this. I'm not really hot on personal attacks though I myself have engaged in personal attacks when put in a corner. It's natural to fight back and I understand that. Everyone has their transgressions from time to time.

I'm also a big supporter of free speech. I make it hard to get on this forum because of just how many spammers, hackers, con-men and other miscreants try to come on and advertise ridiculous and false stuff.
Remember you have to talk to me on discord so I know what you are all about to become a member of HMC.
Ideas yes. No Advertising unless its subjective to the theme of the server. What's the difference. Well, say Mark Friedmann wants to put a link to his fantasy book here so people can download or buy his book......sure have no problem with that. Joe Smow comes in and wants to advertise dildos or Chinese brides. That's a big no. It's pretty much Common Sense.

I have a form of filter I put in so I know people are actually people that want to discuss NWN, scripting and custom content making or what to put their stories down for folk to read.

I guess I'll think about it some more before making the forum. Maybe I won't. It would be a nice place to discuss ideas as long as things don't get personal and with politics and 'Big Ideas' It almost always breaks down to that.

I'll think about it some more and decide. Perhaps put up a few test discussions and see if good people come to discuss and debate their ideas on various subjects. If it starts to get personal, I'll shut it down.

Maybe. I'm still unsure.
