You find a journal lying on a table and decide to read it, and it reads.....
"I began my life on the small island of Tritio as…a man. Tritio had always been a warring island, on the island there were many clans each lead by a clan leader, when I was merely a boy of 17 a young noble born got it in his head that the island of tritio would be a suitable place to begin an empire. Ersion Terat was that noble born, after obtaining his fathers wealth along with some of his own he was able to purchase his own personal army…a rather large army. It took him under a year to take control of the whole island, it was a small island; he began taking all boys between the ages of 17 and 25 which meant I was now a member of the Terat army. I had never liked being under anyone’s thumb, I didn’t mind authority but I hated Ersion Terat. I spent two years in Terat’s army and at the age of twenty I had decide that it was time that Ersion ended his reign. I had become one of Ersion top advisors and as such he was trusted and had access to all parts of the mansion. Ersion was in the process of building his very first palace and so he was living in his father’s mansion. One night I was summoned to Erosion’s council chamber when I arrived there I found Ersion seated in his usual chair with his usual bottle of brandy and drunk as usual. I had had enough, I approached the chair silent and stoic as I approached Ersion he looked up from his bottle and said slurring his words “You sir are a weakling…that’s why I own you *laughs* yep, that’s why I killed your family, they were weak and pathetic. Hey…what are you doin….” And that was all the more he spoke for I had pinned him to this chair with his own short sword. I left that room knowing that I would never be blamed for the murder of Ersion, if anything I would be praised for it…but they would never know anyway.
It didn’t take long for another like Ersion to jump up and take the thrown….in fact it was his right hand man Tewa Staton. I never left my position as a top adviser but this time I didn’t have to kill him. Tewa was a lecherous man and it didn’t take him long to start taking the village women into his bed, and if they resisted then he would kill them and hang them on the Mansion wall as a warning to the other women he would take. Karto had thought of killing Tewa but the villagers and soldiers beat him too it, Tewa did not realize who’s women he was taking into his bed…he had taken many of the soldiers wife’s and killed more than a few. So when the villagers came to get there revenge the soldiers just stepped aside and let them through. They put two hooks through his heels and hung upside down on the wall by the women he hung there earlier, and then they gave the children stones and let them pelt Tewa until he had died….it took about three days for him do die. After that I decided it was time for me to leave Tritio, I had gotten a letter from a friend of mine in Amn….
I reached Amn in about a month’s time and I met up with my friend Armin Denten. Armin made his living by hunting for the council of Amn itself, It didn’t take long for me to grace my way into the Army of Amn. My leadership skills and reputation landed me a commanding position in the Army. I quickly became the figure head that the men looked to for courage, I inspired men to fight with all their heart when all else seemed lost and the men loved me for it. I fought for many years in the army of Amn, on the day of my thirty-seventh birthday the city was under
